In 1980, 32 year-old Thomas M. Adler founded a cartoon company under the name of GoodSmiles Incorporated. While a majority of previous shorts produced by them aren't well documented, the most popular of their creations was an animated series named FunTimes With Diva, starring a young devil and her adventures with her friends, including Mr. Dino and Raziel the Angel. The show ran for around eight 12 episode-long seasons, split in half per year. The show ended abruplty in 1996, when the studio tragically ended up burning down and claimed the founder's life.

Pictured below is a scan of a newspaper clipping from the afterevents of the fire.

But what happened after GSI went defunct? As of this year, many newer fans of the company have joined together on a fan forum to collect and archive media produced by it. Thanks to them, a good chunk of episodes, merchandise, and more have been uncovered, whether from yard sales or attics.

So what's next? With the growing fandom and even a game being recovered, a new age of GSI will emerge in the 21st century. My friend has recreated the old website for the company, which you can view here.

Thanks for reading! I'll see you all in the next one ^_^
